At the Youth Sports Trust Conference, Cedar gained an award as an outstanding secondary school for sport. The award acknowledges high quality teaching & learning in the classroom and recognises the strength of creating strong enrichment opportunities with our partners such as DMSF.
The conference celebrated other aspects of school life and our Year 11 Mental Health Ambassadors were on hand to deliver a workshop & presentation during the day which was attended by 100’s of delegates. This was an inspirational session and attracted large crowds (most of who were later seen leaving in tears) after a moving speech from Ashkan who was later commended for his bravery and a runner up in his category.
A special mention to Stanley Grove for winning ‘Outstanding Primary in Sport’ and Lisa Fathers who was recognised for her hard work and dedication on the GM Mentally Healthy Pilot.
