School Improvement Board
Supporting the Principal and his staff…
The School Improvement Board are responsible for the strategic vision of the academy and for supporting the Principal and his staff in achieving that vision.
The main purpose of the School Improvement Board is to provide support and challenge to the Academy, on behalf of BFET. It will do this through providing strategic direction, promoting high standards and educational achievement and support the Principal to ensure that all the work co-ordinated (Teaching and Learning, Curriculum and Pastoral) is having a positive impact and is underpinned by a core data set.
The School Improvement Board meets once a month, generally for no more than two hours.
A wide variety of subjects are considered at each meeting, including the Principal’s report, reports from members of the Senior Leadership Team and, very importantly, the approval of all major policies which underpin the running of Cedar Mount Academy.
